Couturing Launch at GPO

As the school bell rang on Wednesday afternoon, I was straight off to the train station. After doing homework on the train, I arrived at my Aunty's house on Swanston Street, for a costume change and a quick bite of pasta. After changing the position of my needs-to-be-dyed-hair 20 times, and a 30 second walk, I found myself at Melbourne's GPO.

Couturing is a new online source for everything fashion based in Melbourne, and around Australia. Thom and Lisa, have combined their fashion industry and blogging skills to collaborate on their new website together.
As you can see, the invitation set very, very high standards for the launch night. But with one of Melbourne's most beautiful buildings, full the best of Melbourne's fashion industry, things could not disappoint.

My favourite thing about attending events, is having the opportunity to catch up with, and meet new people. There is nothing more inspiring than being in a room with a huge group of successful people.
I got to meet Jess from WhatWouldKarlDo, wearing a collar from the KARL by Karl line, of course!
Blogger, stylist and veterinarian Cecylia
Both such lovely people, Sarah from Sarah's Style Emporium and Sandi, editor of Onya Magazine
Disclaimer: This was not my drink, nor did I drink at the event. I don't even drink in my spare time. xo
Fashion legend and host of Fashion Torque, Jenny Bannister
Calvin from Vanity Press
Lisa of Couturing, alongside Sarah and Sandi
The lovely Glenda
Here on the right is the extremely talented and funny Alexandra of the jewellery label Alexandra Blak. Seriously. If you check out her website, you will either recognise it, or fall in love with it... just amazing!
After this, I went back to the not-so-cute town of Geelong to stay at a friends house. This whole day, and the next few days I was really sick. Even with dizziness, a sick stomach, and a killer migraine; I got up the next morning, exhausted and went to school for maths and all that fun stuff.

This is obviously not the normal life of a 17-year-old guy, but I love it.

Until next time,

Max

  1. Max! Thanks for a great post full of all the things I missed out on considering I had to skip off to my French class 15 minutes into the event! You're right, it is always really nice getting to catch up with everyone and couturing put on a very swish event - such chic party invites and event. PS: I LOVE Alexandra Blak too - talented and you're right FUNNY woman!
